Dr. Nanta Thongtaweewattana, Assistant to the Dean for Student Affairs, was invited by the Provincial Administration Organization of Prachinburi as a guest instructor for a Thai poem workshop on December 13-15, 2019.

A. Huixin Bi, full-time lecturers from the Department of Business Chinese, attended "The Conference of Studies on Discipline Construction and Development of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages:
The 16th International Conference of Chinese as the Second Language (ICCSL-16) and The 4th International Conference on the Teaching Chinese (ICTC-4)".

 

On this occasion,

Dr. Teerat Srisukwattananant was also awarded the 2nd Prize of the Excellent Research Award for Young Researchers (no researcher was awarded the 1st prize).

Dr. Nanta Thongtaweewattana, Assistant to the Dean for Student Affairs was invited as a guest judge for a Thai poem competition held at Assumption College Sriracha on August 29, 2019.

On August 25 – September 4, 2019, Trainings were provided to Japanese Language Teachers from Seisen University. The two-week session includes an orientation, welcome party, campus tour, Japanese class observations, Thai language and culture classes, teaching
demonstrations and a farewell party.

The Theodore Maria School of Arts, Assumption University, signed an MOU with the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, on June 11, 2019. The MOU is aimed to strengthen the academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The Arts Research Training was organized by the Theodore Maria School of Arts on May 15, 2019, with an experienced, distinguished guest speaker in the field: Prof. Dr. Budsaba Kanoksilapatham, Faculty of Arts, Silpakorn University.

Faculty members from Theodore Maria School of Arts participated in the National Conference celebrating the 40th year of Liberal Arts study. The conference was organized at the School of Liberal Arts, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open Unversity (STOU) on Feb 11, 2019, and was joined by representatives of Arts Schools from a number of leading Thai Universities.

Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Language and Arts, Soegijapranata Catholic University, Indonesia, visited Assumption University on January 25, 2019, and was introduced to the Theodore Maria School of Arts' curricula in a session conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean, School of Arts.

University of Fukui’s officials, led by Prof. Hideo Teraoka, Vice President for International Affairs, met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Photongsunan, Dean, Theodore Maria School of Arts, and his team during their recent visit to Assumption University on December 21, 2018. The group of academics met to discuss the potentially mutually beneficial academic collaborations between the two universities.

An MOU aimed to achieve the mutually beneficial academic cooperations between Theodore Maria School of Arts, Assumption University and the Graduate School of Language and Communication, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) was signed on December 19, 2018 at NIDA.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean, Theodore Maria School of Arts received the Excellent Award for Human Sciences at the 41st Anniversary of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess of Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on November 19, 2018.
